Team C Racing

On September 3, Jonathan Jenkins traveled to MXRC Raceway. Only the 2nd race driving in the SC class with his Team C Racing TS2 short course truck. On a very difficult track layout, and struggling to find some “rear bite”, Jonathan would take the 2nd qualifying postion. In the 10 minute Amain, starting behind the TQ, Steve Beasley, Jonathan would take over the lead within the first couple of minutes but a couple of bobbles and Steve would take back the top spot. Jonathan tried to get back to Steve to battle for the lead, but getting through lapped traffic would slow things some. Steve drove on to take the win and Jonathan would bring the Team C TS2 to a 2nd place finish!

On September 3 , Team Driver Don Elliott headed out to MXRC raceway in Siler City, NC. With 19 pro buggies in attendance Don would take his ZCar Z10xb to a 2nd place qualifying position. In the main, Don did his best to beat out Blake Pickett, but Blake had the home town advantage and would not let up. Blake took the top spot and Don would come home with the 2nd place spot. Great run for Don on what has been deamed “The hardest track in NC”. Jonathan Jenkins was also in attendance. He struggled in qualifying and started near the back in the B main. Finally starting to get a handle on the track, he would take the bump from the B to the A. Starting 12th in the A, he took his Z10XB to a respectable 6th place finish.
MXRC is a great facility and a really difficult track. We head back there Sept. 10 for the 5th round of the NC Champ Series. It is sure to be a great race and a great time!

Always having a healthy brotherly rivalry, both run the truggy class on this raceday. Jamey would take the TQ with Jonathan taking the 2nd qualifing position. In the 15 minute main, the two would change postions many times with some high speed side-by-side action but with a couple of late bobbles by Jamey with less than a minute to go, Jonathan would take the win with Jamey finishing 2nd. Both truggies are ZCar ZMXT-8 running Argus Engines.
